Here is the front page of the February 2007 edition of COPA Flight:

This was a reference to the complete lack of ice at Chateau Montebello
only a week before the Challenger Owners 17th Annual Winter Rendezvous.

Personally I was betting on "splash-in" - my own Challenger was ready to launch on floats!

Fortunately for everyone, I had to mothball my Speedos when Mother Nature decided
at the last minute to co-operate and make the ice runway in front of the Chateau:

The event turned out to be a great success - the Friday night reception was packed,
23 Challengers on skis cavorted under sunny blue skies,
160 aficionados were wined, dined and entertained at the banquet.

People described the atmosphere as a family reunion, for old timers and newbies alike!
