One of Gros Morne National Park's awesome sights is Western Brook Pond, which winds 20 km into the Long Range Mountains. The valley was V-shaped before the last ice age. Then glaciers from the Long Range Plateau carved it into a U-shaped trough. Now the cliffs rise vertically 700m out of water 500m deep! |
