NationalUltralight

The Fall 1996 cover of Aviation Quarterly magazine showed Bryan Quickmire flying his Challenger C-FXSL in the Thousand Islands.

The issue featured Bryan's story and photos of his initial float season with the amphibious ultralight. He recalls the sensations of making the first flight of the newly constructed aircraft and of learning to fly an airplane which floats on water. Bryan recounts a wide variety of experiences and journeys and ends the story with the anticipation of the first winter snows and the ski flying season to come.

All in all, the article conveys the discovery of a previously unimagined freedom of flight.
