NationalUltralight

This Back Page of the Fall edition of Aviation Quarterly had a collage of a 1,200 mile camping trip made by Bryan Quickmire and Rick Scott in amphibious ultralights.

The duo meandered wherever whim, winds, and weather suggested. Each evening they would find a sheltered cove to moor the planes, then pitch tents and make a fire.

They explored Georgian Bay, the North Channel of Lake Huron and the shores of Lake Superior. They followed the Algoma Central Railway up the Agawa Canyon and traversed the forests and lakes of the interior.
